THREE COSTA RICAN EXHIBITORS WILL EXHIBIT IN MONACO

Three Costa Rican painters, Jeannette Carballo, Ana Isabel Martén and Isidro Con Wong, were chosen by the Fondation Prince Pierre de Mónaco to participate in the XXII International Prize for Contemporary Art in Monte-Carlo in 1988. This is one of the most important art events of the year bringing together artists from all over the world. This is the seventh time in eight years that Señor Con Wong has been selected, an unequalled record.

The selecting committee examined 8,500 slides from 1,800 artists from 71 countries and fewer than 200 works from 39 countries were chosen to compete. The exhibition will be held in Monte-Carlo from 1st to 23rd June 1988.

The Consul General of Monaco warmly congratulates the selected artists for this well deserved distinction.

Dr. Robert E. Smith
Consul General of Monaco
